How does a telehealth appointment work?

Telehealth appointments at Mental Clarity Care are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Before your appointment, you'll receive a link by email or text. Simply click the link from your phone, tablet, or computer — no app download or account creation is required. All you need is a private space, a working camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person psychiatric care?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Research consistently shows that telehealth psychiatric care is as effective as in-person care for the vast majority of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Many patients find it more convenient, less stressful, and easier to attend consistently — which itself improves outcomes.

What states can you see patients in?

At this time, Mental Clarity Care is licensed to see patients located in the state of Florida only. You must be physically present in Florida at the time of your appointment, regardless of where you are permanently based.

How long is the first appointment?

Accepted Answer

Initial psychiatric evaluations typically last 60–90 minutes. This gives Razvan time to thoroughly review your history, understand your current symptoms, and develop a personalized care plan. Follow-up medication management appointments are generally 20–30 minutes.

What should I bring or prepare for my first visit?

Accepted Answer

Please have the following ready before your first appointment: a list of all current medications and supplements (including dosages), any prior psychiatric diagnoses or treatment history, the name and contact information of your primary care provider or therapist (if applicable), and your insurance card if you plan to use insurance. Completing your intake forms at least 24 hours in advance is also required.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Controlled substances may be prescribed when clinically appropriate and in full compliance with Florida law and DEA regulations. All prescribing decisions are made on an individual basis following a thorough evaluation. Mental Clarity Care follows evidence-based guidelines and prioritizes your safety in all medication decisions.

What does medication management involve?

Medication management is an ongoing, collaborative process. At each follow-up visit, Razvan reviews how your current medications are working, addresses any side effects, and makes dosage adjustments or medication changes when clinically appropriate. You'll always receive a clear explanation of any changes to your treatment plan. The goal is to find the most effective regimen with the fewest side effects.

Do you provide therapy or counseling?

Mental Clarity Care focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management. While Razvan takes a supportive, therapeutic approach in all appointments, ongoing psychotherapy is not a primary service. We are happy to provide referrals to licensed therapists in your area and can coordinate care with your existing therapist if you have one.

Do you accept insurance?

Mental Clarity Care accepts select insurance plans. Because coverage varies widely, we strongly recommend contacting our office before scheduling to verify that your specific plan is accepted. Self-pay options are also available for patients without insurance or whose plan is not accepted.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. We understand that life happens — if you have an emergency, please contact our office as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do you provide care for dementia or memory concerns?

Yes. Razvan Gheorghe has specialized experience in dementia care and provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients experiencing cognitive decline, memory loss, and behavioral symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Can family members or caregivers join the appointment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the patient's consent. For patients who would benefit from caregiver support — particularly those with cognitive impairment or complex care needs — having a trusted family member or caregiver present during the telehealth session can be very helpful. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to include someone.
